Hello,
I am the internet marketer for the company Regius. We are a new company and I have been working to try and build a following online, but have had no success so far. I was wondering if you guys could help. I read a lot of other threads to look for advice, and it seems that the best option right now would be to build a local following first. We have no reputation online right now, and our reputation in our area is just through our friends. We have 200 likes on facebook, and even had a model send us pictures of her wearing our clothing, but after our initial buzz, we have died down a lot. We also only have 2 designs in print at the moment, but we have many design concepts that are waiting to be printed, just need to save up for a digital printer. Unfortunately, I have no idea how I can go about getting our clothing into stores or gain sponsors, as I am afraid that the owners might not take us seriously, as our company is just made up of 3 high school students. I have also opened up multiple social media accounts, including twitter, instagram, and pinterest, but I have no ideas how to get more followers on twitter and pinterest. We have garnered some instagram followers using the like4like method, but other than that, we have not gained any true followers/customers. We would appreciate any advice you guys could offer us, and thanks!

Do you have the finances to use Facebook, twitter and Pinterest ads platform?

I have seen success on pinterest by getting in touch with users that have a "big board" following related to my niche and offering them a % for promoting my shirts on there board.

Same method can be applied to twitter users with large active following or facebook groups when admin pins your post to the top of group.

You will not believe how many people will work with you if you just ask.

Hi Regius,
What you have is not a problem, its a step. To be successful online, all new startups have to overcome this. Online presence and social media marketing also need a chalked out plan.
I would say look up for AIDA framework, its bookish but if you have your strategy aligned to it based on your tg , more often than not, it works.
Also social media platforms are amplifiers, they wont help much unless you have something to speak about.
I think you should work on
Content
Promotional offers
Good site ( at least as good as your nearest competitor)
I am not sure about your plans for SEO but thats one palce you could look on.

To build local community, if you could have some on ground activation it would really help.
have a stall at a local event,
do a community work, where your team is wearing your company t-shirt.

Get visible and people would start noticing. Let me know if you want to get into a detailed discussion.
I would love to help you in any regards i can.

First of all, thanks so much for your advice guys! We appreciate any help we can get :).
@tristanphillips We are actually building up a marketing fund at the moment, so we should be able to utilize those platforms. The only thing is, there is so much bad rep with facebook platform though, and we have tried it before, but it did not increase our sales or our followers by a significant margin. But if we contacted high profile social media users, would it be better to offer them a cut of the sales they make, or would it be better to offer them a deal right away to promote our products?
@teervana And we love the help you are giving us :D. Do you think it would be better to hold off on showing people concepts that we made in adobe illustrator until we actually have products? Or should we show them to see how people react to the ideas?

It would help showing designs to a few people intially yes, to get an idea about whether people will buy it. Appreciating a design is a different thing and paying money to buy it is different. So it will help you decide or gauge what kind of designs people would be ready to buy.
But dont go overboard, do this with a set of people say your friends and friends of friends.
I wont recommend going on social platforms unless you have something that you can provide immediately.
You have to make use of the initial spike that happens when you would join online.

Hope this was helpful.
