Marcelle is the font style I need, but I don't want the distressed look. Is there a Marcelle version that is solid black?

There is a free version of this font called "Wrexham Script" by Roger White.

It is free for both private AND commercial use.

Roger White states "Despite what is said in the readme files associated with the fonts all fonts on this site are now public domain, whether used for personal use or for commercial purposes. All that I ask is that the source is acknowledged if you are using any for commercial purposes."

You can find the Font on Da Font Wrexham Script Font | dafont.com

And you can also find it on Roger's own site including a lot of other fonts that are all free for use both Private and Commercial
Roger's Fonts

For example he has a font similar Helvetica called Milford in many variations as well as several Book Fonts. eg. Sudbury Book and Queens Park.
