I'm using an Epson 1400 to create film positives only.
Cost-wise, a 13"x100' roll is cheaper than a 100 count set of 13"x18" films.

Has anyone manually cut films to size and then fed into the printer without any problems?

(ie: myself cutting it to 13"x20" to make full length-wise use of my 20x24 screens with 16"x20" image size.)

i havent tryed it yet but plan on doing the same thing but i bought the 17" roll and plan to cut it with my vinyl plotter

I tried it and had problems. The film would skew when it fed into the printer causing registration problems. I'd personally say stick with sheets.
