making black ink darker on colored shirts

HI

I am having to do 2 pass on black ink to get it dark enough on colored shirts. Is there any other way to make it dark without having to do 2 passes of ink? I have a big order and this is very time consuming. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Hi April,
one thing that I noticed is that if the artwork is not RGB mode and not #000000, then the black will not be very dense at all. Use your color selector and verify the black is at the correct range.
April, one trick we use to make the black darker is to make the black areas 100% black and 100% cyan. This makes a very deep black. It is easily done in Illustrator or Photoshop.
we found that if the picture is vector black will be darker..
all very helpfull ideas thanks i was having the same problem!
The image is vector. I am going to try the 100% black and 100 100%cyan today to see if that is better.
Thanks
April
Can you add 100% cyan using Photoshop Elements? If so, can anyone explain how to do so>? I am not a wizard at Photoshop, but can get by usually. Thanks I am working on a black design on a grey shirt.
