Hi all,

A little about my self - I'm a graphic artist based in Asia and have been working in the multimedia and graphic design industry coming close to 3 years. Recently, my harddisk and laptop crash and all my pain-staking portfolio was lost and unretrievable.. I took it positively and started all over again. Despite my passion and persistence in design, I was feeling really lost and freaking out as well as cursing at times. And so I came to a point where I consider venturing into something different..

Like many others whom wanted to start out something for themselves, I happen to come across the idea of moving towards T-shirt design and perhaps eventually starting a business. Then I was randomly scouting around the internet when I happen to come across this forum and found it to be very informative and the people are really nice.

Hence, deciding to take the chance of writing this long post for advice and help. Right now, you can consider my knowledge towards the T-shirt industry is 0 at a scale of 10. Oh well, apart from zero knowledge, at least I do have the designing and software skills.

Where do I start? Can anyone help me out here? Will appreciate it

For starters, you are in the right place. Maybe start reviewing the different printing methods to see which fits best with your design experience and budget. Most importantly, make sure you do a business plan.

Do u mean I can first start off by understanding what kind of printing methods are there for T-shirts? Frankly, I only have a rough idea to start off which is to create T-shirt designs. After which get some blank T-shirts from wholesalers and have some printing company to get the designs printed onto it. Not sure about what to do after that though..
