I had white ink spill on my power and main board and cleaned them off with 91% alcohol and now I get error codes like 1001D and the green light on the head keeps fading in and out and the power to the control panel is not working.
It does power on, stir the white ink, up and down button work but pause, forward, reverse, menu and load buttons do not work. is this one board doing this or both? pics of board with ink before I cleaned them to see where damage was done to board. Machine was working perfect prior to slippage of white ink tube out of the head. just replaced new head and dampers and didn't put clamps on/cause of damaged boards.

My thoughts would be to try the motherboard first. The epson power supplies are pretty robust in all of their models. I've seen those things survive some pretty dirty environments. The motherboards, notsomuch.

The 1001D points to something being wrong with the movement of the carriage. Thing is, it can happen for a number of reasons. Dirty home sensor, gunked up rails, dirty encoder sensor, faulty head cables, and yes....the motherboard. Seeing that ink was spilled on it, you have a fading status light which suggests something is pulling down numerous circuits, and an error that is usually a maintenance related error though it was running fine before, my thoughts are just go ahead and change the motherboard first.

BQCHRIS no I don't hear any pinging noise but thought it was better to swap both so I don't get a new one and the other one damage the new one because of a short. Thanks for everyones input, I just needed a second opinion on getting them replaced and what else to look for..
