I've been doing heat transfers with success in my market area, but need some minor (to me) embroidery work done... Lady who use to do mine retired, so what are options. Can someone tell me what dollars/brands I'm looking at for: basically doing chest logo's on sports jacket's, maybe something across the chest of a hoody? Not big runs, can live with single head but would like a few different color at the same time. What can you tell or direct me too? Thanks so much!

Multi-needle, single-head machine will work for what you want to do. Which one to buy depends on how much money you want to spend. Barudan, Tajima, Melco, SWF are just some of the brands.

Before you jump into buying a machine, maybe try to find someone else to do your embroidery. In addition to the expense of buying the machine, there is a pretty good learning curve to operating it.
