My biz partner and I want to buy an old HP 9000s low-solvent printer but we are concerned with the fumes associated with it. Does anyone do solvent printing out of their garage? I do not want the smell to impact the rest of the family. My garage is attached. Even if we open the garage and use fans, it will point towards the front door.
I even read that some folk "out gas" for a couple days before lamination for stickers.
We are not going to blow up business-wise so printing once a week will probably be the norm. I know printer needs a print cycle once a day to keep the heads healthy.
So how bad can it get?
