You have to reset the ink levels, it doesn't mean a thing with refill systems, you have to keep an eye on the actual ink and ignore the drivers. No clue how that particular system resets though.
If this was an initial setup for an Epson, it runs a massive "first run ink charge" that drains a lot of ink. 5 pages is pretty low though unless you were doing full 11x17 prints.
