losing patience with OKi on Tpaper

hi friends,

iam using OkiC5600n and Tpaper (a kind of transfer paper i import from Korea). The results are very unstable and very bad:

- the printed output: some where the ink is clear, many where the ink are faded- not adhered to the paper due to the coated layer, especially when the design is big or think (with small artwork, this less happen compared with full A4 size).

i thought the Oki is not for printing on this kind of paper as i tried printing on normal office paper, the results's ok, but when ever printing on this Tpaper, the ink are faded many where

i touched on where the ink faded, the ink stick to my fingers with the ink powder.

So, any friend using Oki got the same problem? how you fix this? i am wasting so many papers and losing patience with this machine.

Am i using the wrong technology? with transfer paper, which kind of machine brand (ink jet, lazer) and paper would you recommend?

thank you very much

You can see the pictures i attached here. Thanks for comments and advise

I am confused..the thread title has 'Duracotton losing patience with Oki on Tpaper' yet your post talks about Korean transfer paper. I can tell you that Duracotton IS NOT a korean paper. It is made by a Canadian Co called autoart.ca I have used my Oki 5800 and Duracotton for 18 months w/o problems. I cannot answer to your specific question about Korean paper

BTW...not all Oki systems work with all papers...example the Oki 3 in1 3032 will not work with Duracotton according to a potential user
Hi Charles,

Sorry i used wrong tag "Duracotton" to talk about my issue. The paper iam using is Tpaper (of cos it is different from DuraCotton) imported from Korea together with an OkiC5600n, and iam getting problem with Oki printing on this Tpaper- the ink faded, especialy on thick and big (full A4 size) design.

Do you think i should change the paper, maybe Duracotton, or re-config the printer?

Thanks you very much for your advice.

Oki is good on a variety of papers:) Try other papers and see what happens....In this ever printer changing & paper changing business?! Be prepared to......Test, Test, Test and more Test:)
i have not tested any other laser paper except image clip which is a two step process ...
Hi Charles,

What do you do? are you selling Duracotton? if so, could you send me some samples. if testing ok i will buy every month. If not, could you recommend me some good transfer paper. Thanks alot. Th

Looks like I forgot the put the link for Far East areas...here it ishttp://www.autoart.ca/AutoART_DuraCotton_heat_transfe/DuraCotton_Distributors.html

There are distributors in Hong Kong, Indonesia Shanghai

Some do not have web sites but do have phone numbers

Sorry I just do not ship out of US

There are other laser papers...I just prefered DuraCotton and became a distributor..there is Image Clip..a two step process, and WOW 7.1 a complicated process that is expensive and does give good results..even on black shirts...There are some others..you might check with some of the forum sponsors to see what they offer
