I dont want to break the bank on this new venture. But i like to buy quality items from the get go. I dont like to save some money on a cheaper press. Then having to replace it later on.

I definitely want a digital temp.
15 x15 or 16x 20 not sure were to start.
Auto open will be nice. Even if i have to go a little over budget.

I saw the hixtronic at heat press nation also heard good things about the geoknights Dk20 i think is the model.

Might be willing to go up a couple hundred if its worth it.

Also might think of doing some some shows, so u do not know how hard it is to lug around the larger presses.

Hotronix and GeoKnight are both excellent machines. For a semi auto you will be paying well over $1000. The least expensive 15x15 model that is made in the U.S. is about $800. There are good quality imported models with digital controls that have similar warranties to the domestic machines.

I think the Stahl's Maxx 15x15 meets most of your requirements. It's about $800 including shipping and weighs about 60 lbs. The Geo Knight 14x16 clam is about $900 delivered, and 20 lbs heavier. Add another $200 for the 16x20 versions and yet another $200 for the auto release feature.

Check the preferred vendors list for pricing because some dealers give discounts. I've had good experiences with Alpha Supply, Pro World, Imprintables, and Best Blanks. Other people have their own favorite vendors.
