I am looking for the solution to print from Corel directly to the Mutoh Falcon Jr.

We also have Flexi Pro 8, but the color profiles are a mess. I read that this can be done, but can not find the plug in.

Anyone know how to do this?

I believe to print correctly from that printer you need to use their icc profiles or a rip. if using icc profiles you will need a diffrent on for each substrate to get proper colors. I am not a 100% sure But I think you have to have a rip for that printer for proper operation.

I believe that is the answer too, but on a couple of places I have seen where someone is saying that they are printing from Corel.

I would think if that is the case then there is a 3rd party plug in like the cutting plug ins. One person had said that it worked as long as he had Production Manager in Flexi open and running. Possibly that could make sense, but it does not work in my case.

The color profiles being so inconsistent and trial and error is just too time consuming.

There has to be an easier way than what I am doing.

Most these large format require a hardware or software rip and are usually sold with the printers one one the reasons for high price for these printers. You can print out of any program you like. All the rip will do is convert to a color profile your printer will understand.

First, Flexi Pro 8 is no longer supported by SAi or graphixdirect.com

Second, Flexi Pro 8 has a number of ICC profiles pre loaded in its library. Each profile has a brief description of the media/substrate profiled. Once you select the media profile, you will need to do a test print and adjust the profile accordingly.

Third, most media manufacturers offer ICC profiles for their media. Download the appropriate profile and repeat #2 above.

Finally, ICC profiles are a work in progress. Once you get the "right profile for your application", SAVE it a dn USE it. ;)
