Looking to start from scratch, we have an existing customer base but no print/embroider in-house.
Is the SPRINT an OK starting point or does the newer/faster model(s) far outweigh the start expense?
If you started with a SPRINT, do you still have it and use as backup or sell?
Is the ink cost per piece that much more comparing both types of machines?
Thanks

Not sure about Sprint but we started out with an MP5 abd we did. I'm sure that the Sprint is adequate if you are only going to do small jobs. I understand that the printheads are of a much better quality and will last alot longer. Since you already have a customer base, it would probably make sense to get the MP5 but only if you have a need from those existing customers.

If you go with an Anajet (or anyone else for that matter), go to their training in California. There is a high learning curve for DTG, and you will save yourself time, money and frustration by learning first.

I second this thought. I bought an MP5, went to the training and STILL wasted a ton of shirts, ink and pretreatment learning to use the thing.

Without it, I would have been totally lost and possibly damaged my machine.

I bought a used sprint that was a brick. I had it repaired and it's been working like a champ since mid December. I'd say the Sprint is capable machine for what you are wanting to do. I don't print full time because I have a full time job, but I have been able to easily knock out multiple 50-75 shirt orders. I do supplement with screen printing (transfers, too), though. If I were printing full time, I think I would probably go with a MP5. Good luck
