I managed to print just 7 hoodies and 7 t-shirts for a customer last week using an unorthodox method. The print was 2 colors front and back (easy), then sleeve (also easy because I have the right platen), and then a print on the side of the hood (this is the reason for my post). They actually turned out great. It was black on a safety green hoodie. Now they want 30 which is great for business but I'm agonizing over the time I spent getting the hoods all lined up last time and want a more efficient way of doing things.
I called the place I get all my supplies from and they told me the platen I need is $140 and includes the bracket. This seems insane to me, am I wrong here? What is the best method for printing on hoods if I determine I can't afford that cost right now?
