Hi guys, I have been visiting this thread on and off for a few years and have learnt quite a bit. I am an old time Printer and have been in the trade since 1982, dealt mainly in Offset and later Flexography. I was working as a Flexo printer about 5 years ago when my boss at the time purchased tee shirts and stubby holders and was intrigued at the process used to print on such a small quantity, I think he got 10 of each.
Now i ran a small offset business right through the 1990s before closing due to the change towards full colour printing, so I was well versed in Graphic Design specifically Corel Draw.
So a few years ago I took the plunge and bought a sublimation setup and have since added computer cut lettering, a decent inkjet etc.
One thing with printing it is constantly changing and you are constantly learning which is what makes it interesting.
If someone told me back in 1982 when I was running a Heidelberg Platen that I would be printing tee shirts and stubby holders in 30 years time I would have laughed. Look forward to learning more and contributed when I can.
