Hello everyone!
I've been browsing these forums and finding answers to my questions for a long time. I feel its time to give a little back.
I've been in the screen printing industry for a little over 5 years. Before that I studied Graphic Design and Printmaking in art school. I like to believe I have a decent amount of experience in the print business. But in all this time lurking, you guys have taught me so much and I truly appreciate it.
I recently bought my own press and built pretty much everything else I needed.
I have to say, I was a bit disheartened by the lack of content in regards to DIY LED exposure units. So I decided to be a guinea pig and try it myself. Im happy to say it was successful! Not only is it a cheaper alternative to buying, but it also exposes crisp halftones.
I hope to get a more detailed description of the exposure unit I built and pictures in a later post. For now, Im just formally introducing myself and letting you guys know I appreciate all the insight.
