Load Button flashing

we purchased our third used t-jet 2, cleaned it, replaced all parts and it is as good as new now.

this is the first printer with the black print counter.

just in some cases, when the printer is turned on the load button keeps flashing when we press load and it looks like the bed laser sensor is red instead of showing green. it does not seem that the laser is out of balance and i have no idea how to readjust it?

how can we get rid of this problem? does it have to do with the print counter?

another question:
the printer has some sort of external fuse? its like a knob i can take out. when i look inside its empty. should it be holding a fuse??

and, there was pretreatment for dark in it too saying fast ink 2 pretreatment. can we still use this or shall we just throw it out?

thanks for your answers!

Black counter (Red Lion) replaced the gray counter half way into the T-Jet 2 production run.

Check around the edge of the shirt holder tray and make sure the ruler tape is not sticking up and possibly triggering the sensor. You might also try turning off the printer, unplugging the power cord and the usb cord, plugging the power cord back in and not the usb cord, turning the printer on and seeing if you still have a problem.

We came up with the outer fuse holder for the T-Jet 2 and US Screen adopted it for all subsequent T-Jet 2 models. The mainboard on the T-Jet 2 has a soldered in fuse that sometimes blew. The fuse holder that you are referring to is used in case that fuse on the mainboard does blow. You would then put a fuse in the outside holder which would then bypass the internal fuse and your printer would work again. The outside fuse holder is kept empty, like you have it now. If the internal fuse ever does blow (symptoms would be the printer appearing to print normally but no ink coming out) then you would put a fuse in that outside fuse holder.

If the pretreatment says FastINK 2 then it is over 2 years old. You should dispose it.

i checked the edges and couldnt find what might cause this... is there a way to disable the sensor at all?

I know you already know this but I have to say it, the sensor is red on the left side, the right side turns from red to green when it's clear.
