hey boys and girls, since this is a US dominated site, it can be hard finding suppliers suitable for us, which is why i decided to compile a list of vendors based in the UK, i cant vouch for each of their credibility, but some of them i can (il put a green star next to those) please add to the list if anyone has any others

1. www.newmilfordphoto.co.uk *
2. www.xpres.co.uk *
3. www.themagictouch.co.uk *
4. www.targettransfer.com *
5. www.spaark.co.uk
6. www.keani.co.uk
7. www.merlintransfers.com
8. www.printitproducts.com (ireland based)
9. www.kisscutpaper.com

and this is what i have to show for my day...please do continue the list if their is more

thanks

By the way, an easy way to find UK specific information on the forums is via the United Kingdom search tag here.
that may be true, but its always nice when people share their findings, and plus, was hoping i might even get my first thanks :(

Well in that case, you have missed one of the bigger suppliers off there, www.thetransferpress.co.uk . You also need to point out that Milford New Photo don't actually have a UK base as such, which means you can end up waiting up to two weeks for your order, if their (unknown) UK contact, is out of stock.

I am sure that people will also add screen printing, dtg, sublimation and other suppliers to this list, that have a presence in the UK.

The best way to establish contact with potential suppliers, is through the print trade shows that are held regularly at the NEC and other venues. You can see all the equipment available, see test prints, watch demonstrations, learn about new developments, attend workshops and go home with lots of freebies.

Hope this helps.
There Ruchi you,ve got my thanks. Now what about that pint you offered for my vote (?).
you could add Grafityp they also sell some papers.

From browsing this forum and using google/ browsing websites, I'm getting the feeling that the screen printing industry has largely chosen to ignore using the power of the Internet as a commercial medium i.e. ecommerce, to the SME market? It's damn frustrating using the Internet trying to find suppliers and prices after a decade or so of being out of the game.

Cheers to ruch1v and others for adding links: much appreciated :)

Hi Ruchi,

The main trade show in the UK is Printwear and Promotion, which is on from 1st March 2009 - You can find out more at www.printwearandpromotion.co.uk.

The other trade show that attracts a lot of attention is Sign & Digital UK, which is on from 28th April 2009 - Again, you can find out more at www.signuk.com.

Hope this helps....

wow, 90p a sheet for whites, thats expensive
thats not expensive thats day light robbery IMHO :(
Can get ot a lot less than that if you do a search ;) but would say pm ruch
I don't really use inkjet transfers, but I've had good results from some of the ones sold by people on EBay. 90p is way too expensive for a piece of transfer paper though. Takes too big a chunk of your profit on the finished item.
Come on then guys who do you recommend
and how much do they charge cos i am payin 90p each
and how well do they wash
thanks! exactly what ive been looking for. ive been on the newmilford site but there based in the US. im looking for a transfer for darks which are as good as ironall with stetch but based in the UK are any of the above sites fit the bill?
Cheers Ruchi this is really helpful, esspecially the Printit one in Ireland. I usually import from Coastal business and this can work out a bit pricey.
I don't know of any others to add to the list yet, but when I find some I will.
