Lining up shirts on platen

Hi all, I have been having trouble lining up the shirts on the platen and have been doing some uneven shirts...is there a way or a ruler of some kind to make sure the prints stay even on the shirt and dont vary? Does anyone know any tricks or anything?

I always worry about this especially because I'm new to printing but I use my fingers off the side and feel for the sleeve line all the way from the top top the bottom if it feels about the same then I found it's pretty accurate. Good luck
