I'm having issues with our retail display cases and wondered if anyone encountered similar issues.

The light strips in our glass displays are fading all the product inside them. Mostly fabric items in the display cases.

Are there special strips anyone has used to help this situation? Maybe filters or low UV lights, etc???

Thanks for any input!

Some LEDs do have high UV but it depends on the wavelength/color temp of the bulbs.

If you don't want to replace the lighting, I would try getting some kind of UV filtering material, either glass, polycarbonate/Lexan, or UV block film. If you use film or plastic, you will want to be careful of the heat of your bulbs and make sure they are at a safe distance so they don't melt or burn.

Sorry, I should have specified standard cold led's have lower UV output than most other types of artificial light. They aren't completely void, but are way less. AND they are way more expensive too:(

Most museums are using led lighting due to its inherent low uv output. They are especially used to display dyed fabrics, as that is the most sensitive to fading and degrading from uv exposure.

With that said, if they have any natural light shining on the display case, there are glass pane filters to limit uv transmission.
