Licensing fee for vector artwork

Hi everyone. I have a peculiar question. I'm trying to buy the licensing rights from a company to use their vector artwork. Is there a general guideline for pricing of licensing rights? Neither of us is very familiar and we're trying to work out a fair price.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

It really depends on a number of factors. Exclusive use or not? Non exclusive vector artwork is pretty cheap. $10 and up. So it depends on the work more than anything else.
They already own the artwork and use it in their company on shirts etc. I would be using it for a small volume of shirts in my business.
I was proposed by the company owning the artwork to pay them 10% of my gross sales as license to use their artwork. Does that sound fair, or too much? It's a simple vectorized one color piece of artwork.
10% of sales just for that design, right? Not 10% of all your sales?

I would go for that, especially if there are no minimums.
i agree, 10% of sales using that vector art sounds fair.

keep in mind the agreement can be for 'units produced' or 'units sold'
