This might be a dumb question, and Im sure the answer is yes, but I just wanna make sure... do I need to become a licensed, esatablished business to walk into a retail store and pitch my line to them?

Licensed, probably. Established, not necessarily.

In most cities & counties, you have to have a business license to conduct certain business. If you don't, and you get caught, you may get fined/ticketed. Check with your local city to make sure.

Being established is certainly not a prerequisite to obtain business, although it would certainly help. But you have to get started somehow, right?

thats kinda what I thought...Ill check the local laws. thanks for the input...

also, if I have an online store, selling direct to the consumer, would potential retailers feel that I am competing with them? Can I get in retail chains, and sell retail from my site without creating a conflict of interests?
