I am trying to do an outline on a word and i use easyweed. It seems every time I do this the first layer shrinks and the top color does not fit. Any suggestions?
We dont use easyweed, but here is how we do multipul colors. We just tack the first layer with a 3 second press and then peal the carrier. Then line up the other color and do the same. Then cover the whole design and press for the recommended time.

Works really well.

If you are doing lettering, it sounds like you are doing the narrow part of the letters first and then trying to add the outline on top? Reverse it - do the wider outline first as a full letter, then do the inner part of the letter over the top.

If you are putting it on poly it will shrink like h3ll. It will shrink on cotton.

What we do is press the first layer for 5 seconds and the second at full temp but you have to work fast, pull and stretch and press in a hurry.

Just did a basketball team shirts two days ago. I pressed the first layer for 3 seconds. Peeled the carrier then lay the top layer. Pressed it for the full duration and peel. Even at 3 seconds on the first layer I still have to negotiate when laying the top layer because the shirt will stretch some when the carrier is peeled. I found putting mask tape inside the shirt with adhesive facing the area where the vinyl is the shirt does not stretch as much while the carrier is peeled.
