If there is a pocket, you should not go longer than the pocket. If there is no pocket, I make my left chest logos no longer than 4" wide. Without pocket I put it about 3.5" down from the collar hem and 3 to 4 inches over from center depending on size of shirt.

Is there a standard size for a left side design on a t-shirt?
