I’ve read and kept up with this forum and here is where I’m at: I’m using a Epson 7110 which I converted to a ciss system with sublimation dye ink. My cutter is a silhouette cameo 3, along with my computer is a Mac laptop and I’m using just my cameo software designer upgrade package. This has worked great with me, since I usually do simple vector style graphics for schools and team jerseys. I’ve contacted my ink supplier about a icc profile because what I see isn’t the colors that’s printed. They said they don’t have anything that will work with the silhouette program. So is this true? Is there icc program that will work with the silhouette? Also the only way I get really true deep vivid colors is when I print in this setting: matte paper, best. But if I run several prints(4 or more). I see wheel streaks left on the image, I’ve read several things that cause this: bad ink, bad paper, along with the matte print is laying too much ink. Anyways I’ve combatted this with just printing 3 papers and resting for 20/30 minutes, and doing it again. I’ve also gotten a hair dryer and run it over the image while it’s printing. I know these sound crazy but both have worked. I would like to know if I’m destined with this bizarre scheme or is there something I can do? As for paper I print, letter, legal, a4, a3, tabloid, and b+. It usually leaves the marks on the large papers more, or at there more noticeable etc. Guys I know this a lot going on but I need some help! Thanks in advance

With regard to the ICC profile, I had this problem doing print & cuts from within SCAL 4 software with my Silver Bullet cutter. The solution was to print as a PDF from SCAL and load the PDF into Photoshop, where I could print it out using the correct ICC. I could then contour cut the printout as normal.

ICC profiles are for printers, not cutters. What are you using your cutter for?

Who is your ink supplier? I have a 7110 and Cobra provided me their profile.

If your supplier does not provide a profile (some don't) then the workaround is to use color charts. Let me know if you need more info on this method.

The set up I came up with was from listening to this board along with watching countless hrs of YouTube videos. The Epson 7110 was the cheapest printer I could get that would print a 13/19, everyone raved about this printer. So after research I came up to the conclusion that I need a vinyl cutter as well and came up with the cameo (now mind you I was on a budget and wanted to get the most bag out of my bucks). I ordered the ciss at the same time I had the printer, but again I had these brand new cartridges that I needed to use, so I bought transfer paper and did my first projects in that manor. When the cartridges ran out i installed my ciss and the rest is history. Now mind you i still use transfers on my darks, along with the sub ink with no problem. The problems I’m having is the colors are muted because I don’t have a icc profile that is correct and the track markings occur, when I do large prints with my matte settings.

You're still not telling us why you need a cutter for sublimation printing with your epson.

Splat could you tell me more about color charts. I’ve printed off some vibrate colors off the web to use and my colors did seem to have more pop. Is this what you are meaning? Thanks again
Yes, you choose color charts off the web for the colors you are having issues with. Say, red.

You set up your print job the same way you will do when printing shirts (paper quality, print quality, etc.). Then you print the charts with your desired setting and press them on to 100% polyester white garments/cloth. These garments/cloth now becomes your color profile. When you need a specific shade of red, pick it off of your garment color chart and use that RGB red in your design instead of what is already in it.

Then, from now on, as long as your using the same ink with the same printer settings, you know you will get the red you want.

I use 3 different methods. Vinyl, heat transfer and sublimation. The only software I use is the cameo studio software. I haven’t used anything else when I make a design.
OK well no one will have a color profile for a cutter. Cutters don't print.

Call your ink supplier back and ask for a profile for the 7110 instead. Then regardless of what software you use to print to your epson for sublimation, the color profile will kick in.

Ok I’ll try that. Is there anything I can do about how to stop the tracking on the prints?
Any time you have to use a blower to dry your prints means you're laying down too much ink.

Dial your settings back. Vivid colors are a result of color management. Laying down more ink will not change the color or vibrancy.
