This is kinda crazy but this is what I use.
I had this little wood desk, took the top off, set it on the same stand in an upright angled position- leaning it against the wall and then I put nails in the stand to keep the table top from sliding off- then I got a grid mat from Michaels and 2 hinge/bracket things to hold the screen.
So, I set the screen on the table top, marked the edges, screwed in the bracket things so the frame sits right on them. Then I centered the grid on it and taped it to the table top.
U might be thinking- that grid looks so dark! But when I'm aligning the films, I have a darkroom bulb shining on it and the yellow lines of the grid glow so I can see them thru the screen.
