Hi all. Firstly thanks for all the very useful posts on this site. I don't think I could have got to this point without you all:)

I just got my site up on Friday and created a FB page for it. Have a look and let me know what you think.

I would be grateful for your tips on getting traffic to the site outside of my Facebook friends! I will be selling the shirts at the local markets so hope that's a good way to attract people to the brand.

My sincere apologies for that. It's fixed now. Thanks for pointing out the mistake
Thanks!

Here are some observations:

-when I clicked on an shirt to see the design the pic became very big (good) but then I had to hit the back button 4 times in order to get back to the shop page. (the page was stuck) - I dont know if this is just my computer or a glitch but I tried on seevral of your designs
-site seems pretty simple. too simple for my taste
- I'm not fond of the manquins. Id suggest using real models.
- the site is simple to navigate and I do like that
- I think I'd put siwtch your logo to the left side and your slogan to the right side. At first glance it looks unprofessional because I just see text where there is usually a brand name.
-I'd change the heading on your paypal checkout it currently has your email
-need an SSL certificate
-I would suggest a contact page with phone number /FAQ/ size chart etc.
- I do like the designs.

Thanks GN for your thoughts. I appreciate that you spent the time to look at the site properly.:)

I haven't come across the same problem you had with the navigation but will check with others to make sure.

When you say too simple do you think a different splash page would help maybe with a slide show of designs. Is this what you mean?

I'll look I to swapping the logo over to the lefts also

Mannequins are obviously easier and cheaper at this 'start up' stage. I was also thinking that they at least don't pigeon hole me into a specific market. But I take your point and will ask for feedback from others too.

I wasn't aware that my personal email was visible to customers so thanks for pointing that out I will change it.

Do you know how to apply for SSL?

FAQ and info pages are coming just not up yet

Glad you like the designs!

clean and simple, I like it. What host and store/e-commerce set up are you using?

Thanks for the comment - I'm using Bigcartel.com Just signed up to a $9.95 plan and using paypal as a gateway. I am using a custom URL so you don't see bigcartel in the address line. The domain name is with planetdomain and is just redirecting to my personal email:)

Actually, the 1st thing I'd do is lower the prices. $30 for a t-shirt? I hope that includes shipping. No offense intended, but if I were to pay $30, the design would have to be incredible. They're somewhat too simple & without an eye-catching style. Of course, mine is only 1 opinion so take it with a grain of salt. Either way, you're putting yourself out there, & that's more than most do. Good future luck!

-a slide show of a few designs would help break up the simplicity. To me it just looks TOO basic, like you threw it together in one weekend. It's NOT bad and simple is good, but to me it's missing that X factor. Too simple = people thinking the products are not as professional.

- you can purchase an SSL from many places. I got mine from GoDaddy and spent $100 for extended and got the green bar. Your host probably sells SSLcertificates. I believe you have to have a dedicated IP BEFORE you can purchase an SSL. Your host can sell you the dedicated IP (if you don't have one already) A dedicated IP helps you in SEO and faster load times.

Do following

1. Add phone number and email ID on home page
2. Add proper meta title and description for home page and other pages to get some traffic from search engines
3. Add local listing in Google places and other local review sites like yalp etc
4 Submit your site in google and bing

I definitely like most of your designs, but your site seems very generic-looking, it needs something to make it stand out more. Maybe add a background, or some elements that will add more character to the site.

Also, like some others have said, your shirts are a little high for a one-color print. If the shirts were bundled with a lot of extras, had 5 or 6+ colors prints instead of the one, that might justify the high cost per shirt.

Overall, I think your site still needs a little work to get it to stand out from the oodles of other T-shirt sites out there, and to get it to look a little more professional, but you do have some great designs and you use water-based inks, two big pluses. Once you present what you have really well and adjust your pricing a little, I think your designs will sell well. Best of fortune to you, I wish you a lot of success.

Yes I agree with you and the others who have commented and I will be working on jazzing up the site in the next phase. As for the pricing comments I am priced quite reasonably for my target market which is Australia. Most limited edition shirts here go for $40-$70 which I know is very high compared to USA. I guess I will stick to my pricing for now and see how things pan out. Over here if you are too cheap it plays against you as people don't think it's high quality - also the raw materials are a lot more expensive here. But I appreciate the comments :)
