Just recently read here on the forum that Brother could possibly be releasing a Newer more advanced DTG machine here in a few months. Is there anyone out there that might know for certain??? Been on the fence for a couple of months about purchasing the GT-381 and very close to going for it. But now I'm very intrigued to see if these whispers have any truth behind them before I move forward and pull the trigger?

The cost of the print heads changed my mind. Not sure what the price of heads are for the newest one.

I posted this question too a few weeks back, I heard it in the UK from a dealer very close to Brother Germany. Apparently it uses the same heads according to the dealer and looks very similar but is slightly faster although he could be wrong.

I would highly doubt it. Reason being there big intro to dtg was the 541 then almost 5 years later the gt3 series. It's not like apple and they come out with newest thing every year. Trust me if that was the case brother would lose a lot of buisness cause people would always want to just "wait for the next model" just like I'm waiting to upgrade my cell phone to the iphone 6- cause you know it's going to be announced in September haha
