Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could send some advise my way.

I'm using laser film to burn my images...you know the kind that is not clear. Does anyone have any problems with the clarity of the images after being exposed?

I just think that that kind of paper is not clear enough and it leaves a lighter look to the screen. Is that correct? Please give advise.

There are some things you can do to make the image more opaque. First, make sure your printer is set to the maximum darkness. A light spray of photographer's fixative also helps. When I used vellum, I ran it through the conveyor dryer at normal settings. At best there will always be some problems with vellum. An Epson 1400 (about 200 bucks) and waterproof inkjet film solves about 99.9% of exposure problems. God Bless.

Jobe has some great info. The type of laser film you use can also affect it. Like Jobe said you need the maximum amount of toner lay down to stick so you can fully expose your screens.

What laser film/vellum are you using?

I'm using Kimoto. Have you ever heard of it? Is there another brand that you recomend?

im actually in the market for a good laser film printer myself, My GCC 1208 xl is impossible to find toner for.
