Would be very appreciative if someone could advise what dark transfer papers work and hold up well with a laser printer, or point me to a previous thread that deals with this topic.

Try TransferWear Dark, it works well with most Color Laser Printers & Copiers

Transfer wear dark works with all lasers EXCEPT the Samsung. If you have a Samsung, use the Jetwear Dark (ie for inkjets, even though the Samsung is a laser).

The Magic Touch offers a Transfer Paper for Darks, but can only be printed on a Laser Printer. There's no cut out either.
