Laser Paper in HP1220 injet printer??

I was told by a print supply company that I could use laser transfer paper in my HP 1220, is this accurate? The HP 1220 does heat the ink, I guess that is why I can't use regular inkjet transfer paper in it. Anybody out there tried this, if so what kind of results did you have?

If this is true, would I be able to use this method to do mugs, plates ect ... ??
