Hello,

I have a question regarding a large outdoor backlit banner sign.

So the base is not made by me and my team it's meant for vinyl fabric, not plexiglass.

The base is 12 meters long 1 meter high the vinyl has to be with translucent vinyl (oracal 8500)

Me and my team are still wondering to install the decals before or after we stretch it
I haven't done such a huge sign with vinyl decals, only printed.
I am just not sure if we apply the lettering (solid letters) before we stretch it not to damage the letters.

I know that the banner base is not more stretchable than the translucent vinyl but still any advice is welcomed

I would stretch first - doing the letters first you'd be running the risk of the vinyl failing especially if the material has a lot of stretch to it. Acrylic panels might be a better way to go if that is a viable option.
