Kennedy DTG non-functional

I am one of the unfortunate who fell prey to the siren song...however, I really, really need to get this thing functional. I am getting absolutely nothing from the machine other than blinking "out of paper" lights. It is built on the Epson 1430 Artisan.

Any/all help is appreciated. This was purchased to raise funds for my school's FIRST robotics team (beats selling candy bars, etc.).

Thanks.

I wouldnt connect your printer to the computer just yet....Have you tried to push the tray all the way back in til it clicks then hit the power button? If so does it run its warm up sequence? Has the printer ever ran the warm up sequence?

i think there is a troubleshooting guide on the net for these printers....i ll see if i still have it on my computer..

Mine is a 1400 not 1430 but i was told the 1430 can be more difficult....EKRIp does have a trial... I would email them for the trial and see if you get anywhere through that software...
The manual is posted at http://sdrv.ms/16F8q39

start down on page 40ish its a step by step trouble shooting guide
If you mean the platen moving forward, the carriage running a couple laps to and fro, then I have. It runs its warm up and then the lights start blinking.

I have made contact with EKRip (perhaps on your suggestion) and have access to their software on a trial basis.

In my desperation, I made contact and took the DTG to an Epson repair place in Illinois and they had no success in configuring the software. I think those folks were hardware predominantly though.

Check that manual link when you have time it will help. It helped solve my issues.
