just a friendly reminder to keep a few ink chips as a backup in case one fails you. i've had my Neo for about 2 1/2 years and this morning my maintenance tank chip would not reset. i spent over 30 minutes trying, cleaning, trying again, etc. finally, i just popped it out and put in an old chip from an empty ink cart, and i'm back in business.

so, when you throw away your old carts, make sure you keep the ink chips as they can be used in any cart and the maintenance tank.

We need a Sticky of all of these things on this forum.

15 years of owning HP DesignJets, I've definitely learned that "garbage" chips on any kind of cartridge is something you should always hoard.

We've kept a hold of all of our bulk ink cartridges (don't really use them) for just such an occasion. Also thinking of looking online to see if I can buy a few extras. I don't think they're that expensive.
