what kind of printing are you wanting to do and in what volume?

for $800 the only thing i can think of is maybe a CISS dye sub printer.
But you will be very limited in what shirts you can print on

If you've got a heat press already and $800, try heat transfer vinyls

My experience in HTV

$800.00 will get you an entry level plotter/cutter off ebay. Good to get started on.

We started off with just a plotter (GX-24) and it is still our main work horse 3 years later.
You can achieve some fantastic designs using cad cut vinyls

or

keep your $800 and keep saving for decent equipment.
Outsource your design printing and cutting and just heat press them yourself. You'll just need to find a good wholesaler that will do short runs for you. If you're in Australia I can suggest one for you.
