Just ordered a Craft Robo Pro

I have owned my Silhouette SD for a while now and it definitely paid for itself many times over, but I outgrew it. After months of research and internet window shopping I finally decided to get the Craft Robo Pro. I am only making t-shirts with it so 15in is more than enough. I was happy with what Graphtec did with the Silhouette so I am sure I will happy with the Robo Pro. I got 5% off with my t-shirt forums coupon code too, I'll let you know how I like it.

thinking about pulling the trigger on one of these too.

do post back.
nice, thanks for the feedback!

curious.. i would mainly be using it for heat transfer as we already have a vinyl cutter (even though this would probably be better at vinyl as well)... but does this also cut out the inside white spaces of a graphic, or just the perimeter?
So far I love my my toy! It was a process getting all the programs, I'm no computer genius but I can usually install software. I ended up calling Graphtec and leaving a message and they remotely took control of my computer and installed them for me. I definitely like Silhouette Studio better than Robo Master-Pro, as far as what designs you can do, but there is the Cutting Master plug-in for when I want to do that. It took me a couple days to figure the programs out and get the contour cutting to work, but after I did figure it out it works great! I'm still trying to figure everything out but so far so good, good investment.

And yes you can have it cut all around graphics inside and out with registration marks
Hey Jeremy, how's that Craft Robo holding up for you? Where do you get your t shirt vinyl from? Do you order the sheets or do you buy the rolls? If rolls, how do you cut it to fit the craft Robo? Sorry for so many questions ha ha

Most places sell 15 inch rolls, which is what I use. I get most of my vinyl from imprintables warehouse Heat Transfer Vinyl, Digital Print Cut Media, Sign Making Materials - Imprintables Warehouse

Sometimes, I'm forced to buy a 19 inch roll when it doesn't come in 15 inch. In those cases I just cut what I need. I cut width, not length to save on vinyl. So, for example my maximum cut would be 15 inch by 19 inch. Hope that makes sense?

Its working good for me, I still use my Silhouette for certain cuts with the carrier sheet. But mostly I use the Craft Robo and it's definitely a workhorse. I buy my vinyl from Specialty Graphics Supply offers vinyl cutters, heat presses, transfer sheets, sign and t-shirt vinyl and more and all the vinyl I've ordered has been 15 inch rolls.
Does anyone have a used Craft Robo for sell, please let me know.
Graphtec now offers a program called Graphtec Studio, which is downloadable from their website. It looks a lot like Silhouette Studio. My understanding is that you get it with a new CE6000 series cutter, and it will also work with the 5000 series.

I downloaded it and played with it a bit. I thought it looked pretty nice, especially if you came from the Silhouette Cameo.

I also briefly tried Cutting Master 3. Seems to allow people who design in Corel or Illustrator to cut their designs by sending them though CM3.

My vinyl business is growing so I have been looking at getting a larger cutter than my Silhouette Cameo. It looks to me like Graphtec is providing a nice growth path fom the Cameo.
Riph, what's your market niche? It's cool to hear that your business is growing. I'm at a crossroads with vinyl cutters. Thinking maybe I should go with Gcc expert 24, but Graphtec was my first choice over Roland.
Well, with vinyl I do mostly for government agency or store/company logos, probably what you would call "uniform wear."

I don't screen print, so if the artwork is 1-3 spot colors and the order size is small enough, I use vinyl.

I had a GCC Expert 24LX but I never liked it much, although many others are successful with them.

If you do not use contour cutting, the 24" GCC Expert Pro at 955.00 is worth considering....Now for the same reasons you did not like the LX you may not like the Pro.....But I am a big fan of GCC cutters.....

I have a GCCExpert 24XL and Im not happy with it or the Great Cut software that came with I upgraded from the Cameo and now Im about to upgrade again since I also do Rhinestones
What is it that you guys don't like about the expert 24LX? I am seriously bouncing back and forth between Graphtec ce6000 or Gcc expert 24 Pro, or maybe LX for contour cutting.

Blood, Sweat, and Vinyl Cutters! :)
If you have the money go with the Graphtec CE6000, the GCC expert 24 xl for me is not consistant with the Rhinesotne templates. And sometimes when I'm trying to cut vinyl or sticky flock, or rubber template the machine just sits there , doesn't cut, I have tried any detail cutting
Have you tried the clean cut blades? I heard those blades would give better results for rhinestone templates. I have no plans on cutting rhinestone templates, but I would like to cut different vinyl material like glitter flake, scotchlite reflective, metallic, and hologram vinyls.... Along with Easyweed. I just may end up with a Graphtec
