Hey guys I just pressed an order using JPSS on Anvil 980 white shirts. I noticed that the transfers were nearly flawless except where the shirts had small flaws(kinda like small pills). Some of the shirts has small white marks that that ink couldn't cover.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a better shirt that wouldn't have the small flaws? Each 980 shirt had several of the bumps on it. We had similar problems with Gildan shirts(heavy cotton I think). Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Noxide,

Thanks for the quick reply and the info. Have you had the same problem? What shirts are you using? I thought since the Anvil was combed and ring spun it would be a more consistent shirt. I am hoping others have had a good experience with specific shirts and have suggestions.

I mainly screen print, but have done some JPSS, just not a lot. I didn't notice a problem like you describe. At the time, I was using American Apparel 2001 (before Gildan bought them). But low sample size on my part, so that proves nothing.

never had any issues with press marks and the heavy-heavy pressure
plus i also do a 10-12 sec re-press

just finished some jpss mock-ups yesterday on the dry-blends
no marks
(unfortunately the original pic for the tee was pretty bad,
so i could not do too much without it looking fake)
