JPSS + clear flex foil over it / check this out!

What do you guys think? I'm planning on offering this to companies for their products at expos etc.

First I took a nice quality jetski pic, printed to JPSS light and then made an a "shiny" area, mostly where the black is in illlustrator to be plotted. I used some Brilliant Cristal (not sure about the exact name) foil, which is much thicker than your regular flex and should be cut with a 60° blade like flock foils.
Then I pressed the JPSS light transfer for a shorter time than usual, hot peel, let it cool down and let the press cool down to a lower temp, then pressed the cristal over it. The cristal thins out a lot during the press.

The result is something like those drink cards that Coke and other companies have, where everything is matte, but the little bottles are very shiny. I'm very very pleased with the effect.

I did this because I bought some various effect flex foils (chrome, paint, glow etc.) and I'm just trying unusual combinations.
Of course it looks totally different in real life, hard to take a picture of it, the gloss changes due to light and it just looks like the product is "popping out".

Looks great to me! :)

SO, where did you get these "effect flex foils (chrome, paint, glow etc.) " ?
Wow! Mega cool!
Ashamutt: I buy them in Germany because its close, but I'm pretty sure a really good foil supplier should carry similar stuff. They even have things like glitter foil, snake skin, denim etc. etc. Endless possibilities!

This looks great!!!! It's hard to tell from the pic, is it on a shirt?

What's the German website so I can have a look?
Ashamutt: Enterprise Graphics Crystal Clear - foil direct© GmbH

CocoVee: yes, forgot to specify, it's on a white Fruit of the Loom, folded up.

I'm thinking of a way to make a lightbulb, probably on a black shirt. The end result should look like there's a real light bulb on the shirt using the above foil for the glass and chrome for the metal screw. I'll update when I figure out a nice way to do that ;)
Good Job

This looks really cool thanks for the pic... so are you saying that you pressed he transfer first then cut the black section that is glossy using vinyl and a cutter and then you pressed it over the initial transfer????

Either way it looks really cool! :) Is there any chance you can show us a real close up of the Tee again

Thanks

Eze
Yea, I vectorized the same pic in AI and edited it to just the black (ad some of the green), I just didn't want the whole thing glossy. I sent that vector to the cutter with the crystal clear foil and pressed that over the initial JPSS transfer.
I'll take some better pics soon ;)
Anyone know where to buy this stuff in the US?
There are alot of vendors here in the us, for specialty vinyl, or foil..

These vendors do have lots of specialty vinyl, but I'm not finding the the Crystal Clear or anything similar. Anyone have ideas or seen it on US sites?

Thanks for sharing. That looks really nice! Did it take a long time to get it all lined up right?
