Most likely you are not laying down enough ink, check your printer driver settings and make sure quality is on high. Worth checking in your graphics program as well.

I also use a Phoenix (which is a Hotronix) and just printed JPSS on a Canon MP560 and the print is black and razor sharp. The text was true black in CorelDraw and I selected the t-shirt transfer setting in the print driver. I've also printed them on Epson printers with no trouble. To be honest, I've never seen a difference in longevity from one printer to the other.

Ya know I love how people say they have such a bad experience with someone or some business and it turns out to be their fault. Patience is a Virtue you just got the printer and I am taking it you have never printed on jpss or used that printer ever before. So I would relax and wait til cobra opens back up and see what they can do but I bet either your Quaility or paper type is not setup right it is probally laying down too much or too little ink jpss does soak up Alot of ink.
What rip software are you using?

Ok so i got my design to print good on regular paper and it looks great, came out vivd and looking good, so i used the same design and settings on a jpss transfer a 11 by 17 and it still came out faded and not as high quality. Thanks for the help so far the profiles that i got from cobra did not install correctly so when I reinstalled them I got much better quality, on smaller prints but Im trying to figure out my issue the jpss transfer is really fading after it comes out
