Hi everyone! I just tried JPSS for the first time and Im really not impressed. The colors look so dull and cheap. I know this is not the paper, its the ink. I am using a workforce 1100 with the ink that came with it. What do I need to make bright, vibrant transfers? Can you tell me where I can buy the ink?

Also, the shirt I pressed today looked kind of yellow where I pressed it. I followed the directions on the package exactly. Any tip or hints?

Thanks

I use an older model Epson with Durabrite inks. I print with JPSS and use the ink setting just above the teaxt setting. No photo quaility as it puts doen to much ink. Go it to the advanced settings and adjust the yellow saturation down by 15% to start with. I bump the black and depending on the image perhaps the others as well. Once you find a setting you like set it up for constant use.

Use the text/photo setting and increase the brightness setting to +5 at least. Paper should be regular paper and not photo or glossy paper. You may have to "tweak" the settings as every printer is different but I get great results with my 1100 with OEM ink. If you have the work, think about the CIS system from Cobra ink. Cant beat it with a stick.

Thanks guys! I will give that a try. I have heard great things about the CIS but I didn't know if I could use it since I have already been using the regular ink and if I can is it easy to install?

Hello guys,

Apologies for interrupting...but Im a beginner and Im using Epson durabrite for printing on Jetpro Softstrech...

I transfer the print to a shirt at 200 Celcius for 30 seconds..Then I peel the paper immediately after the 30-second press..

My problem though is this, the print turns out to be very bad - very rough - not smooth at all as what is being described in the net..

Please advise if Im doing nything wrong so I can correct it.

Thanks!

Press after using a teflon sheet or a parchment sheet for about 10 seconds. This will make your shirt less "gritty" and smooth it out. I do this for every shirt. I also helps set the ink and increase the life.

Don't forget to start with a high resolution image also, the print will only be as good as the image you are using. I have two epsons 1100's both with the cobra ciss pigment inks and love them...

How do you bump up the black?

I just bought the WF 1100 and am considering the Cobra cis. They offer two ink sizes. the 50 ml and the 100 ml. What are the pro's and con's f the two sizes. Does the ink thicken in the larger 100 ml if not used in time? Wht is best, the ink for hot presses or the regular pigment ink?
