Jaguar Panther Plotter - Isn't recognizing that the level is down

I have a panther 30 inch plotter. I was using it tonight, turned it off to go run errands. Came back...fired it up....no errors but the plotter isn't recognizing that the lever is pushed down. The screen wont change...just says to push lever down. Everything looks ok. I powered off/on several times but the problem persists. Any ideas? Thx.
