Bought a couple t-shirts from a Jack Johnson show and there is no manufacturer's tag in the inside. The shirts say they were designed in Hawaii and made in California. They are also made of organic cotton.

I first assumed these shirts were American Apparel... but I'm not really sure they are.

Has anyone seen these?

Thanks,
Joseph

You can try to search the RN number that is on the neck label. It will tell you either the shirt manufacturer, retail company, or in some cases the printer. Most likely the manufacturer though. https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/TextileRN/wrnquery$.startup
Yeah I looked. No RN number. There is a tag in the side of the side seam that says ORGANIC in green and then the tag below that has washing instructions and Made in USA. No RN though.

I was starting to think the shirt was actually an AA 2001ORG Organic but now I'm sure its not. The main reasoning is that AA doesn't have a side-seam going down the sides of the shirt. This shirt does.

I've included a picture of the tag that is sewn into the side-seam.

Some AA shirts have side-seams, some don't; they're inconsistent that way.

That's not an AA tag though, so it's very unlikely to be an AA shirt.

To be legally sold in the US, the tag requires either an RN or the full legal name of the company. That's an FTC requirement, so that you can track who is responsible for manufacturing the shirt. If it has neither, it was an illegal sale. Also means it could be any of, well, just about any number of brands. Especially because if the shirt doesn't have legal labelling, I wouldn't assume the other information (e.g. organic, made in the USA) is necessarily truthful either.

Anyone have an idea of where this tag came from? I've still found no answers to who might manufacturer this shirt.
