Hello everyone -

First of all, I would like to thank everyone that openly provides information on these forums...especially Rodney. I have been reading and absorbing info for a few weeks now, and it has been incredibly informative.

A friend (he posts here also...Pickle) and I began (officially) back in April, but we just launched our website on Monday. Reading as much as I have in the past couple of weeks only makes me realize how much time we wasted by not seeking out this forum earlier.

Oh well, though...we are live now.

Anyway, the intro part...

I work in the real world as a personal trainer, but Pickle and I are hoping to be able to move this to full-time ASAP. Currently, we are looking at either acquiring an existing screen printing shop, or picking up all of the necessary equipment.

Time will tell.


By the way, you will probably encounter a number of stupid questions in the next few weeks/months, so be prepared.

Like your site and your designs. Especially like the photos of the products. Did you guys shoot them yourselves or hire a photographer, and are the models friends etc? That's what I'm struggling with at the moment. I want my site to look professional and think using a stock shot and retouching my designs onto the shirt in photoshop ISN'T the way to go.

By the way on your site you indicate that you use heat press method. How do you create your transfers?

The photos are actually one of our favorite features of the site, as well. My cousin is a photographer, and was able to hook us up (free pics). She took us around town...old alleys and the sides of old buildings. Friends of ours helped us out with the modeling...we are also fairly blessed there .

If we would have had to pay big bucks for the pictures, then I really am not sure what we would have done. Luckily we did not have to cross that bridge.

Thanks, Rob! I'm using inkjet/transfer paper for most of my shirts and one-color plastisols for a few.
