Issues Connecting Graphtec F8600-60 via Network

Hey Fellow Forum Mates,

We have a Graphtec F8600-60 series pro cutter. We are having major issues connecting this cutter through our network. We can send jobs to it when it is connected via USB, but it will not connect through the network.

It has previously worked through the network. Graphtec had it sent to get the ethernet port replaced, but that did not work. Any tips or info to get this thing running through a network?

I think you're going to have to run it using the optional Ethernet port. Those cutters are really not designed to run as network devices via USB. If it's not working, you may need to have someone go over your network settings and protocols to make sure the problem isn't in your software or intranet.
We are running it through USB when we have to, but we are trying to run it via ethernet. When we try to run it via ethernet, we are making sure to unplug the USB connection. I tried setting several different IP addresses and pinging but to no avail. I changed the ethernet cable, too. I am not sure what to try next :(
Hannah, have you contacted Graphtec tech support? If not, I would give them a call. 800-854-8385.
I have and they've not been able to get it connected. We decided to go ahead and save ourselves the hassle for now and run it via the USB. Thanks :)
I have a FC8600-160. Mine did the same thing after a couple of years. I would never buy another graphtec. Roland is the way to go.
