Good morning everyone. I've been having an issue cutting some images lately. I can't seem to figure out why it's not tracing the entire image. It's like it has it wants to cut out an image within the image; starts to cut along the edge then goes inside. Has anyone ran into this problem before?

So if the cut out portion is the same size and everything as your image, but it's just in the wrong spot your contour settings are wrong...

It would depend on the cutter and the software. Usually there is a contour calibration area in the cut software that you are using.. so that I wouldn't be able to help you with I don't think...

The cutter thinks it's cutting around the image... but if it's starting in the wrong spot everything will be wrong... if that makes sense..

Thanks,
Jeron

Thanks for the responses everyone, I've been trying to get this sorted with no luck. I took random images (practice purposes) off the internet and opened them in Photoshop and removed the backgrounds. Then imported them into Roland's CutStudio, added crop marks, image outline so it cuts along the edge of the image, and I've did with/without an offset but it still is not cutting properly. If I just use the type tool in CutStudio and send any kind of type to the cutter, I have no issues.

See it looks like it is cutting it perfectly, it's just starting in the wrong spot.. the contour cutting origin is somehow off... where are your registration marks? Are you using a print/cutter?

Thanks,
Jeron
Just a cutter (Roland GX-24) and the CutStudio app packaged with it. There's (2) crops at the bottom on the left and right and (1) crop mark on the top right hand corner.

I think it has something to do with the image outline in CutStudio. If I use the arrow keys to move it upward in an attempt to align it with the image it seems to work somewhat but it's still not cutting in the designated areas.

I shouldn't have to do that at all based on these two videos.
