Hello everyone,

The attached picture is a strike off of a discharge print. When comparing it to our last strike offs using heat transfer we didn't have all the gaps. I assume the gaps are perfectly normal when using a screen, but on the top ribbon where it connects into the American flag looks excessive. What are you guys think?

Thanks in advance.

Doesn't look like discharge ink at all. The ink appears to be on top of the shirt like it's plastisol ink. Discharge ink penetrates the shirt and it would be very faded on a heathered shirt because the discharge would only work on cotton, not poly.

The gaps look like garments breaks as if the art was set up that way.

Thanks for your comments, very much appreciated. I double checked with our printer and they confirmed it was discharge. Does anyone else feel this way?

It looks like the blue screen wasn't registered correctly - the right side is a little high. I may be a little nitpicky there, though - does it pass the 3 foot test?
Your right, it is a little high on the right side. Yea, it passes the 3 ft test, however, I'm OCD and those uncolored spaces on the tops of both flags bother me. It's not like the artwork, just wanted to see what other people think. Am I being too picky?

I get really obsessive about designs too, which is why I had to put a big sign over my computer that says "REMEMBER THE 3 FOOT RULE." If it wasn't for that, I'd spend hours messing with moving things back and forth by a pixel. If it looks okay on the shirt when it's worn, and isn't obvious, then I'd say it's probably okay.

That being said, I think that the red and blue are both discharge, but the white is either plastisol or a waterbased white. If it was discharge, you'd see a lot of fading where the poly fibers were. It could also be a PfP with discharge, in effect just using the discharge as a waterbased ink instead. I'd have to see the print in person to tell.
