My 2 cents.

It appears to be a home made system and a very well made home made system at that. Even though he claims it is 'direct from the manufacturer, he is the manufacturer.

The only problem that I see is that he misleads you into believing that it is a white based printer but it is not. I am not sure what the base printer is but it is only a 6 color printer. He has most likely replaced one of the colors with white. This could lead to a whole lot of color correction and adjustment to get the correct colors out of the printer if you are missing the Cyan for example. Or worse, you have to replace one of the channels with white and then put it back. That would be a major concern for me and a question you must ask him. Also, anyone that claims to have eliminated the problems with printing white should explain further. To say you have done a thing does not necessarily mean that you have.

That is a lot of money (watch the shipping cost as well) for that printer. I would personally check out the Chinese printers if I were going to spend that much.

Bit too complicated for a beginner I think, thankyou for the info. Which ones are the chinese printers?
I would not buy any printer that did not have support and parts available in your country. If you don't have a market for 20 or more shirts per week, maybe DTG is not a good idea. Some cheaper DTG can become money pits.
Do you know what is meant by the chinese printers?
I just want to buy a used dtg printer, did not think it would be this hard, had two i was considering in the usa but getting info was like pulling teeth. I cant even advertise on here for one until i reach some stupid posting level.
My R230 came from China. The manufacturer is Quingdao Magnetic. I have had some problems with it. Some were self inflicted, others were outside of my control. Parts can be an issue but keep in mind that most Epson printers have equivalents in other geographical areas. For example, my R230 is technically an Australian/Asian/European printer but the R220 is the exact same printer in the US. I have purchased one as a backup and have had to use parts from it. If I have a failure in any of the other parts that are custom to the printer, I could run into problems. However, I buy my ink and pre-coat directly from Magnetic so I am in fairly regular contact with them making it a bit less worrisome.
Usually a Chinese printer is one made in China and sold FROM China. Buying a used unit can be iffy. Oh yes with two more posts you can advertise
Does this count as another post as well :)

if you are thinking of investing in a dtg printer definitely would buy this you mention, it has all of the major electronics brands and their price is really low, certainly printed with white ink, rip software also includes
This printer is located in Spain. You don't know the printer model used, whether parts that are not OEM are readily available what kind of support after sale, is the RIP feasible. ....... so many things that are wrong, but be my guest if you buy

what I recommend is that if you have 20,000 USD buy the brand you want, otherwise spend 2500USD in this printer certainly has the electronics will give excellent results. remember is DIY dtg printer
I think I will keep looking for a used brand name printer, IF I can find one
