I bought PhotoShop Elements 7 because I didn't want to spend the money on a "full-featured" PhotoShop because I didn't need all the functions. I probably only use about 5% of the capabilities of PSE. I only bought it to open the PS graphic files people send me to print out.

I'm starting to get a lot of Illustrator files now and for some reason my PSE will only open about 50% of them.

Is there a low cost, low function alternative to Illustrator like PSE is to PhotoShop?

I'm just looking for something to open the graphics to print them out.

Illustrator files, by default can be opened in Acrobat Reader!
Download Inkscape as well.
