I know this isn't the right forum and I apologize upfront. But I'm new to learning tshirt printing and new to this forum. There are a LOT of subforums on here.
I have a couple of questions:
#1, do you have just a general newbie guide to tshirt printing???
#2, as I look more and more at tshirts...how can I tell the difference between screen and heat transfer?? (because of being new, I'm leaning more towards iron ons)
Thank you and feel free to move this question to a different forum if it needs to be.

A good way to start is to visit the various printing method subsections of the forum and click on the "Frequently Asked Questions" post stuck to the top of each section :)

There are many types of heat transfers (vinyl, dye sub, plastisol transfers, inkjet transfers, etc)

With some of the types, if it's done right, it may be pretty hard to tell it from screen printing (like vinyl and plastisol transfers)

With inkjet transfers, you can sometimes see the transfer paper residue in the "white spaces" of the design where no ink has printed.,
