Using the versacamm cut contour path line. In other words can I peel away the unwanted area much like Imprintables Solutions Clear transfer paper?

Okay I will tell you what I have read in the forums. THis issue has recenty been respectably debated.
Okay, Chani and maybe a few others have found a setting on their cutter that allows you to cut just the 1st layer of the Jpss while leaving the backing paper in tack. This then allows them to weed away the excess paper and only print their design. If you look under Chani's post, you will find it.
The issue that was raised by Lou was that JPSS is not a 2 Ply paper, and it is not mentioned in the instructions that you can cut and weed JPSS. He mentioned that you would need to use a backing paper.
Once he saw samples, he did believe that it could in fact be done, but he only wanted to make sure that buyers weren't misled by the use of the word 2ply. I hope that I didn't forget anything.
Yess you can cut and weed JPSS, but you need to make sure that you use the proper setings.
Stahls sells a product called magic mask. From what I gather it's the material that is the backing for vinyl - such as ecoweed or thermofilm. I have heard that you can place the jpss paper on magic mask(which is tacky) and the feed this into the cutter as you would do with opaque 2 ply papers.

haven't ever done this but have heard that it can be done. Anyone have any experience with this?
Yes you can weed JPSS.
I set the downforce in my Roland to 30 (forgot what the unit is).
And it weeds wonderfully.
Yep, to Terrance and Marcelo... (good memory, Terrance! That is what happened in that thread. I was one of the ones in there... lol)

So, yes, you can cut the JPSS without a backer paper and it is weedable.

Let me see if I can find the links again:

This thread has the instructions (post #15) and a link to the really long thread on JPSS and a plotter.

Thanks guys and girlz. I had no idea that this thread had been discussed at length already.

As much as I like Solutions Clear brand, I can't justify the price of the rolls. The Solutions opaque however, I will continue to use.

I gonna have to try JPSS on my Roland now!

Even though it does not state in the instructions but several have shown it can be done.
