Okay I will tell you what I have read in the forums. THis issue has recenty been respectably debated.
Okay, Chani and maybe a few others have found a setting on their cutter that allows you to cut just the 1st layer of the Jpss while leaving the backing paper in tack. This then allows them to weed away the excess paper and only print their design. If you look under Chani's post, you will find it.
The issue that was raised by Lou was that JPSS is not a 2 Ply paper, and it is not mentioned in the instructions that you can cut and weed JPSS. He mentioned that you would need to use a backing paper.
Once he saw samples, he did believe that it could in fact be done, but he only wanted to make sure that buyers weren't misled by the use of the word 2ply. I hope that I didn't forget anything.
Yess you can cut and weed JPSS, but you need to make sure that you use the proper setings.
